So is there a monopolar or tripolar?
I honestly think I am bipolar. Some days I feel great and I'm happy and things seem to be going well. Other days I just feel like crap no matter what happens. As far as I can tell, there is no discernable pattern as to why this occurs. Awesome.

Mad, mad day!
It has been a wild day. I find out that another grad here is hating this department and thinking of leaving. I had a great conversation with someone that I thought I was losing touch with. I gave a fantastic presentation. I got another book from my teacher. I found out that there is someone in this department who used to work at the company that I want to work for in Chicago (and someone praised me to this person). AND I found out that a good friend of mine is getting married and moving to England. Mad, mad day.

Job
Definitely think I am going to leave this year and get a job. The question remains, "where?" I have no reason to move to any particular city and so feel like I have no guidance at all about what is the best choice. I think I'd prefer a large city since I haven't ever really lived in one and I am getting sick of small cities with no real activities. Chicago is the obvious choice since it is large and close and thus easier to move to but I honestly don't know if I want to live in Chicago. Why do I have to be so fucking picky about everything?

The news intentionally tries to anger me.
Is it just me or is Bush's "call for an end to partisanship" just a really pathetic cry of "please don't impeach me?" Not only is he a lying, manipulative dolt but he is also a whiney little child. You do stuff wrong, you get punished. Get over it.

Power to the people
I voted today. Only had to stand in line for 1.5 hours too. Joy. Oh, and this weekend I took an hour or two off and butchered a photo. You can see it here: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/42639689/.

Netflix is losing its mind
Ok, so I think Netflix is losing its mind. 3 days ago, I got a movie 1 day earlier than they said I would; this is fine and it happens fairly regularly. As per usual, I returned it the next day because I was done with it and didn't give it a second thought. Until today that is... Today I received the other two movies that were supposed to have arrived the same day as the previous one; they came 2 days late which is ALSO not unusual for Netflix. The odd part is that they were not alone; they had brought a friend. I was not aware that Netflix had received the previous movie that I had returned and, as I am on the 3/month plan, I should not have received another movie until they did in fact get the returned one. The odder part is that this third movie, this innocuous buddy to the first two, this hanger-on, is the very same movie I just returned. Now, some of you may say, "well the post office probably made a mistake and returned the movie to you." Those of you who are familiar with the Netflix system will understand how easy it is to tell that this is not the case; the packaging that the DVD is in is different. In all likelihood, they will receive the first version of this movie that I returned and post it to my account as 'Returned' thus putting me in a position to have a free movie. Being the law-abiding citizen that I am, I will obviously return this copy as well but the situation remains: Netflix is losing its mind.
